Dad’s clubs is for dads, grandpas, uncles, neighbors, and other Father Figures who know they want to slow down and do-stuff with their kid(s) but are not sure where to start, or have done fun stuff already and want the joy of sharing that with others.
When Mom gets involved in something a family can often understand her activities as a selfless act of serving her family. When Dad gets involved in things it often runs quickly through the whole family.
When your dad is a Farmer, the whole family is farming. The kids get up early to milk the cows, feed the chickens, feed the pigs, and everyone goes to bed tired with the sun.
While less Dads today may not “be farmers” the metaphor still has value for thinking about how when Dad gets involved in something, it tends to affect the identity of the rest of the family. When a Dad’s take a moment to play with their kids, those kids feel loved, and are able to display more confidence, and to take healthy risks.
With great power comes great responsibility.
Dad’s Club aims to make it easy to have fun with your kid. Dad’s club is your set-it-up-and-knock-it-down option to have some intentional time with your kid.
Truth be told, I say ‘no thanks’ and ‘not today’ quite a bit, and I know many guys may not want to to join a Dad’s Club.
Why? Because I’m ‘busy.’ Busy with kids, busy working, busy with everything. I dont want to add another thing to my list, etc.
